The Original Swedish Single Malt Whisky
Mackmyra Brukswhisky has a balanced character with fruits and butterscotch. The nose is clean and fresh, with light, spicy, notes of Swedish peat and juniper. Clear fruitiness with butterscotch, citrus and pear. Prominent notes are liquorice and mint.
The palate is fruity and slightly smoky while the aftertaste is fruity and slightly spicy. Enjoy Brukswhisky as it is, with or without ice, on any occasion.
Nose: Butterscotch, citrus, pear, liquorice, banana and mint.
Taste: Fresh fruity and peppery. Youthful, fruity flavour with a spicy taste of toffee.
Aftertaste: Spicy oak and apple pie whilst remaining light and nimble.
200 litres First-fill Bourbon casks 100 litres Swedish Oak. Elegant recipe, first-fill quality. 100 litres Sherry Cask. Elegant recipe, first-fill quality. 200 litres Ex-Bourbon casks elegant and peat tail, first-fill quality.
The Brukswhisky label, designed by Swedish artist Simon Cederquist, tells the story of Mackmyra, from the first 30L still, recipe design and our two distilleries; Bruks and Gravity.
Looking closer you'll find other parts of our history; the Mackmyra logo that you'll find on the stopper and base of the bottles, the 30L litre cask program and our review by Jim Murray awarding us 95.5 points in The Whisky Bible.
One thing that's changed since the original design is the removal of the so-called 'Forbidden Skis', You can find out more about that story here

Jim Murray, Whisky Bible 2020 "Perhaps, of all the world’s whiskies, only Mackmyra can produce this kind of clarity on delivery: perfect gristiness, thin lime blossom honey and the busiest of light spices."
Un excellent single malt
Asking how it tastes - haven't a clue, prefer gin, but the actual on-line purchase was easy and with regular updates, once I got past the Swedish filter.
This is my favourite so far simply because it’s floral sweet undertones make me feel dreamy when I drink it
