Mackmyra Äppelblom is an elegant single malt distilled at Mackmyra Bruk. The whisky is finished in saturated oak casks which previously held Calvados from Christian Drouin.
Light tones of apple from the Mackmyra distillate together with richer apple flavours from the Calvados fused with generous oak character creates a spicy balance. Notes of apple, ripe pear, citrus, almond toffee and cedar wood are present.

Considered one of the world’s leading Calvados producers, Christian Drouin applies unsurpassed care to every new edition. With its experimental zeal and desire to challenge traditionalism since 1965, the producer was an easy choice for partnership. Enjoy Äppelblom alone or alongside a warm apple dessert.

Rewards and Reviews

Incredibly crisp / The dramble.com

“The result is fresh, quite precise and incredibly crisp. If anything, Appelblom represents a more single-minded expression of Mackmyra’s underlying character and in that regard I find it rather successful. Orchards a-plenty. ”
