Created Entirely from Swedish Ingredients - A Smoky Single Malt Whisky Like No Other.
Svensk Rök (Swedish Smoke) is the only smoky single malt whisky made from Swedish ingredients only. In Sweden, we have used juniper to season our food for generations. Now you can enjoy the timeless flavour in a golden form. The aroma is slightly smoky and spicy, with a much smokier flavour and peaty juniper notes.
Nose: Slightly smoky and spicy with aromas of peat, juniper and vanilla fudge.
Taste: Smokier than the nose with smoky, peaty, juniper notes. Dry, oaky aromas found with light tobacco leaves and herbs. A slight saltiness with minerals, anise and green fruits.
Aftertaste: Slightly dry and smoky with notes of oak, salt and herbs.
81% Ex-bourbon (various cask sizes, all peated)

Swedish Smoke
Mackmyra is one of the few distilleries in the world that self-produces its smoky distillate.
Both malting and smoking take place in a facility situated close to the distillery using Swedish-grown barley and peat drawn from the nearby Karinmossen (Karin bog).
And to add a further Swedish dimension to the smoky flavour, the glowing peat is seasoned with brittle juniper twigs.

“Toasted hazelnut, runny honey and sweet nougat on the nose. Peat smoke, mossy undergrowth and bright citrus on the palate. Expressive and characterful, with a refreshing wave of salinity on the extremely long finish. Marvellous!”
I am big fan of Islay whiskey and especially I the like smokey ones. I wanted to try something new and this was my choice. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. This is not as smokey as Islay whiskeys but still very good. I'll buy this again.

Ich habe den Svensk Rök schon vor über 8 Jahren in Schweden zum Geburtstag geschenkt bekommen. Und als Fan von rauchigen und torfigen Single Malts war ich begeistert - neue, komplexe Aromen und eine sehr angenehme Rauchigkeit. Was ich bisher nicht wusste, ist dass man ihn hier ganz einfach nach Deutschland bestellen kann. Na dann los!
It's always a slight risk trying a new whisky. Svensk Rök has not dissapointed. Not as smoky as an Islay whisky but with similar palette as far as depth and taste. A delight to drink
Har precis upptäckt denna whisky......nu har vi blandat en egen rökig som ligger och gottar sig i ca 3 år. 😁
I've been quite surprised but this is very good. And offering some to friends from a flask they thought it was an Islay whisky. A touch on the pricey side, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.
